Turn up the lights in here baby

July 26, 2011

Ever been to a Tupperware party?  No me either, but I can picture what it would be like (yawn), and I was about to attend what I thought would be very similar on Saturday…  It was called a PartyLite Party and it actually turned out to be a blast!

The minute I walked into the room the scented oils instantly made me feel calm and relaxed, and the candles smelled delish and looked gorgeous too!

There I sat ooo-ing and ahh-ing at things I never thought I would… candles!!  When the time came to hand in our wish list and order sheet, mine was completely filled!  So I narrowed down my list and ended up purchasing this adorable tealights set.  I knew it would make a perfect present for one of my friends.  It triggered me to think that this is the same mentality lots of ladies have when purchasing Panty by Post gifts for their friends.  It’s the perfect gift for that girl who has everything.

So…. a little insider’s info for you here- our founder Natalie has just finished two trips, to Paris and to Moscow.  While in Paris, a little birdie told us tweeted (ok facebook too) that she met with a few companies about adding new products to feature with your surprise panty someday soon.  How cute would that be if one of those items were tealight candles?!  🙂

Email us your comments (laura@pantybypost.com) on what products you would like to see with your Panty By Post!  We would love to hear your feedback!

Until the next post~

Flowers that don’t fade, are panties by post!

Notes for the Romantic in you..
Lately I’ve been wishing it was Valentine’s Day. I’ve been searching
for a reason to celebrate romance. The truth is, romance is for every day and we can take some cues from our French amis (friends), and step  it up a notch. Think of this as How to Encourage Romance in Your
Life, or Romance for Dummies: A Five Minute Exercise. Whatever it takes!
What does it really encompass  to be romantic? I’ve compiled a list on romance from a single girl’s point of view.
Part Une:
1.  Risk it when the opportunity arises! Your charm will shrine through your level of confidence, which will  make you even more beautiful to the opposite sex. Example, why wait for your first kiss until the end of the evening, kiss her over dinner. Make the waiter blush!
2. Never  give up even when it seems like fish are fleeting…start doing this by throwing away your ugly old panties. Gear up at pantybypost.com and you’ll be ready when you’re least expecting love, or at least some affection. Read Jen Nachshen’s blog on our site about Big Girl Panties for a fun reality check!
3. When you may have found some love, stop doubting it and  just enjoy! It is suggested that we need about 20 minutes of (non-sexual) touch a day. So close your eyes when you’re kissing and reach out for what you’re missing! (within boundaries of course!)  Take a cue from our Euro friends who touch WAY more then we do and get practicing!
4. Guy shopping list: buy her a book, buy her a drink but don’t buy her blue carnations! Flowers that don’t fade, are panties by post! Shameless plug, I know it.
5. Fashion tip: don’t wear your gym clothes outside the gym. Take note of the French and put some effort into your outfits. Add some colour, add some personality, and let your “je ne sais pas” shine on through!

Oprah’s Cake

August 12, 2009

My charming business partner is not just a sweetie, she has a love for all things sweet.

Needless to say, our weekly business meetings at a cafe most often encompasses indulging and sharing in some treats.  Typically, one would understand “sharing’ a treat only with people you know. However, as in many aspects of her life, Natalie, tends to go a step above the norm.

After my first cappuccino at Cito in Yaletown, I felt enormously motivated to get down to PBP business but the caffeine rush also left me quite thirsty. Getting up for some water meant leaving Natalie in the company of strangers, a situation that most often results in a tale to share.

Unlike the Montreal girl in me, she requires little or no caffeine to initiate conversation with any listening ear, especially when it come to our shared passion, Panty By Post.

As I stood up to fetch the water to quench my thirst, I could already hear Natalie’s enthusiastic cry over some cake her cafe neighbour was eating sparked the communication and was sure I could see Natalie reach for a fork from the corner of my eye. The three gentlemen eating some cake next to us were encouraging her behaviour and she was eating off their plate.

Granted I took more than a couple of minutes inside, admittedly doing a little self promotion myself with our promo cards, but it wasn’t long before I arrived back outside to our table to see the remains of marble loaf on Natalie’s face and a PBP promo card placed in front of each smirking man.

I laughed to myself and glanced over at my dear friend who widely smiled at me with a new found excitement. “They know Oprah” she mouthed to me as cleverly as possible. “He thinks we should be on the show…we’re going to be on Oprah!”

The tiniest of red ladybugs then landed next to me and I put my finger up for her (I don’t mean to be gender specific but there is a default to believe that every ‘lady’bug is female) to crawl up my hand. I passed her on to Natalie who seemed to also receive the good luck and then she flew off…to the man who knows Oprah.

Posh Panty

July 28, 2009

Ponder this question…what does Poshbetty.com have to do with Pantybypost.com?

Planning a wedding these days can be a reason for carpal tunnel syndrome. Navigating through the hundreds of different websites can leave a bride feeling overwhelmed, especially when it comes to the first thing guests will see, the invites. The invites are your signature and are therefore a vital first step.

I knew one thing, I didn’t want anything typical and I didn’t want to pay the typically high prices. “Retro, cool, fun..” I began to google and stumbled  upon PoshBetty.com almost immediately and immediately I was captivated by the array of fun and hip styles, mixed with a touch of class and elegance. You can choose from a vast amount of colours and unique fonts from the already existing invite designs. I was hooked.

Shellie Postal, one half of the fab duo behind PoshBetty.com, responded to my needs and guided my decisions (and kept from changing my mind for the umpteeth time!). She also quickly became a special mentor to me for my own business, which I similarly share with my best friend like she does. The uncanny parallels in which we both conduct our online businesses was surely a dynamic fit. The savvy, fun and personalized service of PoshBetty.com is the same model we offer at Pantybypost.com.

Shellie sent me the invites, which produced the whole theme to my wedding and from then on our relationship began to grow. Hence, came our bridal line that followed. In an ever expanding wedding and online market, Posh Betty wears Panty By Post and Panty By Post will forever be Posh.
